New track called “It’s Live”. Produced by Jeepz.
Just about everybody acknowledges that 2011 was a great year for hip-hop. With some vets maintaining relevance by diversifying their appeal (Busta Rhymes, Royce da 5’9”) and some new entrants making their mark on the game, there was much for music lovers to be happy with.
So with that in mind, I submit my picks for top hip-hop projects (mixtape, EP, or full commercial release) of the year.
In order:
1. Kendrick Lamar - Section 80
2. Jay-Z & Kanye West - Watch the Throne
3. Elzhi - Elmatic
4. Skyzoo - The Great Debater
5. Jean Grae - Cookies and Comas
